The school was implemented by Amalia Suaña Coila and for this, she received national recognition through the Peruvian Integration Award in 2011. When she graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Education she decided that her community needed a primary school for children ages 3 to 5 and thus founded, “Sumita Corazon”.
Although to many this may seem like a tough and tedious job, Amalia does it with great pleasure and passion, knowing that she is making a difference in the lives of her students. Amalia’s initiative proves how far her passion for education can go, and with the help of her family, she has been able to successfully run her school.
This initiative should not go unrecognized and should be shared for motivation to others. Through Amalia’s example, she teaches us that it is worth being optimistic and that no matter how much or little we have we can accomplish anything we set our minds to.
