Vision
Rinpoche’s vision for NJC Monastery is a monastery that is inclusive of all the schools of Mahayana Buddhism. He encourages all Buddhist communities to follow their own traditions but at the same time to respect the traditions of others. Through its programs it fosters an attitude of equanimity, respect and compassion for all sentient beings.

Focus
As a monastery it provides a center of Buddhist learning and preservation for both monastic sangha and the general community. The other focus is to promote Buddhist awareness and practice in all the communities in Nepal. This includes initiating, coordinating and carrying out spiritual activities and social work activities in some of the most remote areas in Nepal where the need is identified.

Work
Although it is only a small monastery, it is very active both in the local area and in its outreach Dharma programs and social work in the more remote areas of Nepal. It runs regular dharma programs and conducts pujas (prayers) at the monastery as well as coordinating and facilitating dharma programs in the villages under the White Lotus Project.
